Blefari Caffe & Cucina

Blefari har recently opened at the North East corner Victoria Square Adelaide (ie the corner of the Square that does not have The Central Market Arcade, nor One Ate Five, nor Funk Coffee). It is an Italian Cafe selling a range of light meals, focaccias and Paninis. The big windows take advantage of the view of the square and the church over the other side of Flinders Street. There is plenty of seating inside and some outside.

The hot chocolate was $3.20 and in black ceramic cup and saucer. It was topped with a dark brown froth and blob of white froth with some excess chocolate powder on top. It had a good dark chocolate taste.

  1. My partner & I just got a coffee there (6/1/2011) - these guys are a friendly bunch!

Love the fact that cup sizes are simply 'Small', 'Meduim' or 'Large' - so refreshing that they don't indulge in any of the 'grande' or 'minuetto' BS...

We picked up a couple of menus from the engaging barista who outlined their plans but didn't try to 'sell' the place.

We'll be going back again soon - the (takeaway) coffee was delicious.

  2. Blefari's hot chocolate coupled with a slice of the insanely delicious cakes on offer makes for an absolutely wonderful experience in Adelaide's newest cafe. My fellow adelaidians you will be hard-pressed not to find something on the menu which will accomodate your palate and the friendly staff are an added bonus!

  3. I had lunch at blefari's with some friends yesterday and i loved the place. They had lots of food to pick from (salads, foccacia, panini, pizza, pasta and a couple of specials). The customer service was great and they were all really friendly. I am definitely going back again.

  4. Just went there, food and coffee are excellent. Coffee is best around that part of town.
